The federal government has announced that Nigeria at 60 awards ceremony which was earlier scheduled to hold on September 3, 2021, would be postponed.

 

Chief Adeniyi Adebayo, the Minister for Industry, Trade and Investment, in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Mr Ifedayo Sayo, discloses this on Sunday in Abuja.

 

The Trade Minister said the award ceremony is part of Nigeria’s Jubilee celebrating Nigeria’s Independence, to honour 60 notable Nigerians, who had made immense contributions to the nation’s growth.

 

 

The special award ceremony was being put together by the Ownership Subcommittee of the Nigeria@60 Committee.

 

He added that a new date would be announced and regretted any inconveniences the postponement might have caused stakeholders and the general public.
