Daredevil bandits have attacked Lavun community after previously attacking other communities in Wushishi and Mashegu Local Government Areas.
The bandits were said to have abducted members of the community including newlyweds and 8 guests. This was confirmed by the state commissioner for local affairs
Daily trust reported that the gun men who first raided about 10 communities in the LGA returned on Sunday morning February 27th 2022.
Niger state has become a new base for bandits to launch deadly attacks that throws the residents into fear, shock and panic.
The Niger state governor, Abubakar Bello addressed the issue saying, the situation in Niger has reached crisis level and has to be confronted without further delay.
